DarcyShaw flew V Australia Business, on a B777-300ER (02/02/2011 06:38)
Flew MEL to LAX / LAX to BRIS in Business with V Australia recently. First thing is i am 6'5" tall and flat beds annoy me a little bit as i can never fully extend. I had the same problem with this seat however with a little bit of play with the footrest i could downward incline so my feet were free.
All the business trimmings ticked, express check, board, departure, customs etc..Moet Vintage bubbles to get started. Riedel glassware spot on. Thought the food was just OK though. It was tasty but had better on business services of same class and price. Service was really nice. Lovely girls who were attentive but you didn't really know they were there. Easy to talk to, even on the ground. Brisbane was slow getting bags (45 mins) and bags did not come out in order of priority; I was near the end. Overall it was a delightful experience and I will repeat again.

LAX to SYD, VA2, 2 Sep 2010. Why does it always seem that one thing spoils a great flight. This time though it seemed a rather important thing! With seven hours of a 14 hour flight still to go, our LAX to SYD flight ran out of water!
This creates all sorts of problems, from no coffee or tea, no drinking water and for SEVEN HOURS no one was able to wash their hands after going to the toilet - yuk and may I say very unhygienic. So did we have flight attendance passing out breakfast without washing hands after a trip to the bathroom? I was to afraid to ask..
At Sydney several people we talked with and including my wife left with headaches I suspect caused by dehydration.
Rule 1 on the V Australia website for counteracting DVT - "Drink plenty of water" Yeah right!
And the excuse: The Aircraft took of heavy so they didn't take on a full load of water. Thank you V Australia for putting freight ahead of your "guests" comfort and safety.

BNE-LAX and LAX-SYD, very spacious cabin as it is 3-3-3 not 3-4-3, with enough leg space for the long trip. The entertainment system is very good with the option of the most recent movies, TV shows, games and in seat chat which is very useful. Crew service was also very, however the food wasn't the best but still of good quality. Overall a very good flight with the BNE-LAX flight arriving early and the LAX-SYD arriving right at 6:00am, only problem is that we had to wait in LAX for 30min before the SYD flight due to the curfew in SYD.
