Qantas's Boeing 747-400 fleet is in several different seating configurations, ranging from a four-class seating arrangement seen here, to a two-class arrangement (click here).

In the four-class configurations (economy, business, premium economy and first), Qantas has two aircraft with very similar seating, differing only in the small matter of two extra business class seats on the upper deck.  As seen here, the configuration is 14 first class suites, 50 business class, 32 premium economy and 255 economy.

The layout is: First 1-2-1 (A - E,F - K); lower deck business 2-3-2 (A,B - D,E,F - J,K), upper deck business 2-2 (A,B - J,K). Note that in the 52 seat version, row 18 upstairs is a complete row including 18J and 18K, unlike the plans shown here).

Premium economy is 2-4-2 (A,B - D,E,F,G - J,K) and economy is 3-4-3 (A,B,C - D,E,F,G - H,J,K).

UPDATE (18/02/10): Qantas has announced it is to remove First class on its B747s and reconfigure the other cabins. The A380 will also see some changes. For more on this see the Business Traveller report below.
