More
The new premium economy cabin from Qantas debuted on the carrier's B747-400 aircraft. On the main (lower) deck of the B747, there are 32 seats in a 2-4-2 layout. Seat width is 19.5 inches (50cm) and legroom 38-40 inches (102-107cm).
The seats are designed by Marc Newson - the man behind the Qantas Skybed sleeper seat - and are manufactured by Recaro. They feature extra width and recline, more legroom and an in-arm digital widescreen television monitor, as well as laptop power connection.
There is a self-service bar offering a selection of refreshments throughout the flight, in addition to the regular choice of meals designed by Neil Perry's Rockpool Group. Premium economy passengers also get better quality wines, superior tableware and soft furnishings.
