LAN now uses only Airbus aircraft on its short haul routes, and operates one of the most modern fleets in the world, with more than 40 aircraft in the family that includes the Airbus A320, A319 and A318.

The Airbus A320 family aircraft are equipped with the latest generation of digital entertainment systems, leather seats and 12 monitors/screens that transmit specially designed programming for each flight.

This version, the A318, has 120 seats in two cabins.

SCL-AFO-SCL:  IFE - drop down screens. Brand new aircraft, cabin crew great, they showed a couple of light entertainment 1hr programs on the 2 hr flight. They have interesting headphones - split rather than fixed with the hard plastic over the top of your head (a la QF) and much more comfortable to wear. They seem to have these on all their aircraft. Seemed to be a good pitch (again more than QF or AA and prob same as mexicana A319)
