Korean Air's long-haul business cabin will vary according to which aircraft and route you fly on.
A refurbishment programme has begun, but some older Boeing 747s soon to be withdrawn from the fleet are not being refreshed, while
some others, which are being withdrawn later, are. Confusingly, 26
Boeing 747s and 777s have already been fitted with new seats, but a
completely new type of seat is being fitted to aircraft that
are being refreshed after May 2009.
The first of the newest cabin types will be seen on a brand-new Boeing 777-300ER that will fly on the Seoul-New York route from June 2009. Another 32 existing aircraft will be completed by March 2011 and the full total of 96 by 2014.
There will be three business class products available on Korean Air as it continues to roll out its new Prestige Sleeper product. So at the moment it depends on which route you are flying, and which aircraft you are on, as to which you experience.
Prestige Sleeper is a 180-degree lie-flat seat with a 74-inch (188cm) pitch. It is 14 inches (36cm) wider than the current product, Prestige Plus. New TV monitors are 15.4 inches (39cm), an increase of five inches (12.7cm) and the system is AVOD.
The existing Prestige Class Plus has a privacy screen between each seat, reclines to 170 degrees and 76 inches (193cm) in length. The armrest slides to increase space and there is an adjustable individual reading light and individual entertainment options.
The older product, Prestige Class, reclines to 139 degrees with a seat pitch of 51 inches (130cm). The seat has leg and footrest and lumbar support and there is a Sky Phone and individual entertainment options.
All business class seats on Korean Air offer in seat power supply of 110V.

The seating plan shown on this page is wrong. The seats in Prestige Class are old-style recliners - comfortable, but not as good as the lie-flat beds. The seats are not shown in the right place - Prestige Class seats are all in one cabin. I frequently use Korean from London to Seoul. Upstairs is very comfortable despite the age of these planes. Recent seat replacements have improved the level of facilities (pc power, usb charger etc.) more
